NEWS: LOCAL BUSINESSES ENJOY A GRAND DAY OF GOLF
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre raised a healthy sum at its Fundraising Golf Day on 9 July at Enville Golf Club.
17 teams took part in the competition, raising £5,500 for the Grand (registered charity number 515154).
Businesses and individuals from across the Black County supported the event at the prestigious golf club. Wolves Legend and Grand Theatre ambassador Steve Bull compered the auction, encouraging everyone to dig deep for the cause.
The headline sponsor was PIA Wealth Management while hole sponsors included Nant ltd, Rylance Construction, BHD Creative, Casino 35, Britvic, Handelsbanken and Lawrence Cleaning.
The Golf Day was won by the PIA Wealth Management team, with Carlsberg coming second and Phoenix Dispensed in third.
Charlotte Davies, Grand Theatre’s Development Manager, said: “As a charity, the Grand’s mission is to improve people’s lives through the magic of theatre. Our Fundraising Golf Day at Enville brought together local people and companies to enjoy a round of golf, network and give generously to support the Grand’s ongoing operation, which includes a rich programme of events and projects and workshops for the community.
The day was a great success and we thank everyone for their donations. We are now planning the next Fundraising Golf Day for 14th July 2020.”
